Assam People’s Welfare Association, trans-Yamuna (APWA), is a registered socio-cultural organization of the people from Assam or even who love Assam, residing in the Trans-Yamuna areas (Noida/Greater Noida/Ghaziabad) of Delhi-NCR. The association was registered on 05.04.2014 under the Society Registration Act, 1860. It is a non-profit organization that strives to promote and sustain cultural, charitable, educational, and literary activities in the Trans-Yamuna region. APWA is a volunteer-run, non-political organization which works in association with the local community.

Objective

To work as a platform to enhance the bonhomie and feeling of fraternity amongst the Assamese Diaspora living in the sprawling Trans-Yamuna area of Delhi-NCR.

Mission

To foster a feeling of togetherness and brotherhood amongst the people from Assam residing in the Trans-Yamuna region and to act as bridge for facilitating interaction.

Membership

Eligibility of Membership: Assam People’s Welfare Association, Trans-Yamuna (APWA)

The Association exists solely because of the active participation of members. We wholeheartedly seek more and more members, so that we can build up a truly strong Association. This helps in fulfilling our vision, carry out our mission and achieving our social and cultural objectives and make a real difference to society.

Any person, without any restriction of caste and creed, and above the age of 18 years, will be eligible to become a member of the association. He or she shall have to be introduced to the executive committee/Association by a member of the Association and must apply to the Association in the prescribed form. Membership to the Association will be granted to eligible applicants after receipt of membership fees as per type of membership described here in after.
