Rules & Regulations ( APWA Short Story Writing)
This Competition is for children of APWA members up to 16 years of age.
Only one entry per person will be accepted.
Only single author stories qualify (no co-authored stories.)
All work must be original and unaided.
Entries can be fact or fiction.
Short stories must be submitted digitally by midnight November
Late entries will not be accepted.
Entries received on paper will not be accepted.
Text should be typed. Children who cannot type may have their story typed by someone else.
Short stories entered should include a title page that lists the title of the story and the full name of the author with School Name and class.
All fictional story characters should be original. Copyrighted names and images are not allowed.
All storeis should have a minimum of 400 words and a maximum of 800 words.
The word count includes “a,” “an,” and “the” but not the words on non-story pages, such as the title page.
The decision of the Judges will be final and binding.
Submission of entries constitutes permission to APWA for use in its futute publications.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Winners wil be announced in Ramdhenu, APWA Autumn Fest to be held on 17th November, 2018
Rules & Regulations ( APWA Open Talent Hunt )
The Event is a Talent Hunt Competition for children of APWA members upto 16 years of age to show-case their talents individually or in pairs or in groups. The performing arts categories that participants have to choose from include the following:
Vocal (solo, duet, ensemble)
Instrumental (solo, duet, ensemble)
Theater/Drama (dramatic or poetry reading, monologue, comedy routine)
Dance (tap, jazz, modern, ballet, hip hop, classical)
The registration process is open for the Participant(s) till 8th November 2018. Any entry sent or furnished by the Participant(s) after this period shall not be considered.
In the Vocal category, instrumental accompaniment by the person in the act or others is allowed, but is not judged. No voice or voices or synthesized vocal utternace may be used for accompaniment by contestants entered in the Vocal categories.
In the Instrumental categories, live or taped accompaniment is allowed but must assume the pure character of accompaniment. The test shall be whether the performance would stand alone. In the use of any electronic keyboard, no preprogrammed music is allowed; the contestant must create all sound live on stage.
Performance time is a max of 4 minutes per contestant. ACTS RUNNING OVER 5 MINUSTS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
All acts must provide their own recorded music, instruments, props, etc.
Participants can only perform ONE time during the show.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
